Two expats arrested for fraud in Oman

Muscat: Two expats were arrested for selling a large number of counterfeit watches, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) announced.
According to officials, the accused were selling some of the watches for as much as OMR3,000.
In a statement online ROP said, “The Department of Criminal Investigation in Muscat Governorate arrested two people of Arab nationality [on charges of fraud] for selling counterfeit watches. [Some of the watches] were [priced at] large amounts of up to OMR3,000 like the original ones."
"The defendants were referred to the judicial authorities for the investigation to be completed," ROP added.
