Muscat: With a view of boosting bilateral cooperation, Dr. Hamad bin Salem Al Rawahi, executive president of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA), Oman, welcomed a Polish delegation headed by Magdalena GAJ, president of the Office of Electronic Communications of the Republic of Poland on Monday.
The official visit to the TRA Head Office is in continuation of the ongoing cooperation between the two organisations for executing an MoU signed in the year 2013 that aims to exchange expertise, strengthen cooperation in areas of telecommunications and posts in the two friendly countries, including boosting cooperation for SME projects and sharing of viewpoints in facilitating future investment opportunities in the telecom sectors in
both countries. A number of issues will be discussed during a two-day workshop being held for the same purpose, where experts will exchange achievements and updates on telecommunications and posts in both organisations.
Issues relating to data indicators and the performance of the postal market will also be addressed during the visit, as well as sharing knowledge on practices adopted in the regulation of quality of service, operation of database for porting of fixed and mobile numbers and the models used in the two countries.
Furthermore, the two sides also reviewed their experiences in the field of consumer protection, customer complaints and procedures to resolve them.
As part of her official visit to the Sultanate, Magdalena GAJ also visited a number of relevant local institutions.
