‘Cable thief’, expat illegally selling alcohol arrested in Oman

Muscat: A man who was accused of stealing electrical cables worth over OMR2,800 and an expat who was caught illegally selling alcoholic beverages were arrested by the Al Wusta police.
The Department of Criminal Investigation, led by the police of the Al Wusta governorate arrested a man for "stealing electrical cables from a company in the Wilayat of Hima. [The cables’ worth] was estimated to be more than OMR 2,800”.
In the second case, the police in Al Wusta managed to arrest an expat for selling alcohol. According to the online statement, ROP said, “The department arrested an Asian expat on charges of trafficking alcoholic beverages."
Authorities added, “A quantity of the [alcoholic beverages] were found at his residence."
