Photographer sees stories in lesser known people, places

Rimna Rasheed is a senior auditor who tells stories of people and places through her unique photography. “The less clicked interesting street scenes and storytelling street portraits I see as very vibrant and exciting frames, which many fail to see in our busy daily lives. I was inspired to take up street photography to capture these unique frames, along with all the different frames that the world of photography can offer,” said Rimna.

She clicks portraits of people with interesting stories, while performing their regular routine tasks. “I would like to portray another side of daily life that is less seen, less appreciated, less clicked. It’s an attempt to bring these communities closer to ours and to feel their emotions, as our own,” she added.

“Some images speak louder than words. Also, the same image can be interpreted in a million ways, depending on who is the observer. So I’d like to use art in the form of photography to communicate to the larger masses, to get them thinking and inspire large numbers of them, which I’m so glad I’ve been able to do.”
