Dhofar enjoys an early Khareef season this year

Salalah: The Governorate of Dhofar is enjoying an early onset of the monsoon season this year, due to the heavy rain that accompanied the recent tropical cyclone.
Dhofar's mountains, which extend from Dalkhout to Mirbat, are covered with greenery.

Waterfalls, in some cases from as high as one hundred feet, have started flowing, with such scenes never having been witnessed in Dhofar to such an extent.
During the monsoon (Khareef) season from June 21 to mid-September, Dhofar attracts a large number of visitors and tourists both from inside and outside of the Sultanate, who coe to enjoy the charming beauty of the Dhofari mountains and wadis.
The Khareef sees light rain, dew and fog on the mountaintops of Dhofar’s coastal regions.
