Babyshop partners with ROP for 14th edition of 'Child Safety First' campaign

Muscat: Babyshop, the region’s leading children’s retail concept and a one-stop shop for children's products, partnered with Royal Oman Police (ROP) for the 14th edition of its ‘Child Safety First’ campaign.
This year, the focus of the campaign is parental awareness of the importance of child car seats in automobiles, helping parents and caregivers make sure their children ride as safely as possible in every trip. Babyshop marks the 14th edition of the campaign by donating 200 child seats to ROP at an event held at Oasis Mall, which was chaired by Lieutenant Saif bin Sultan Al Adawi, Ali Malallah Al Lawati – chairman Al Habib Group, Clive Freeman – COO, Landmark Group - Oman and Meherdad Tirandaz, Concept manager - Babyshop.
"We are delighted to partner with the ROP to raise awareness of the recent changes in the law regarding child and car safety. We will be conducting workshops across Oman reinforcing the lifesaving potential of simply placing a child in a properly fitted car seat. As a community retailer with stores throughout the Sultanate, we see this as an opportunity to reach out and support all families in all areas,” said Freeman.
With increasing road accidents involving children, it is imperative that stringent measures are taken in raising awareness about precautionary measures to be taken by parents. Babyshop has consistently demonstrated its commitment to child safety since the first edition of this awareness campaign, which debuted in 2005. With their holistic approach towards child safety, Babyshop has undertaken various activities for child safety through the years, creating awareness amongst children as well as parents on children’s safety. This time Babyshop join hands with the Royal Oman Police to make the vehicles safer for the children by promoting car seats for children.
Car seats for children under the age of four are made compulsory in Oman by the Royal Oman Police and offenders will be fined. Babyshop is known to have the largest number of brands of car seats to choose from, including Graco, Maxi Cosi, and Ferrari. The brand’s product lines, Safety First and First Years, also offer an array of products in addition to car seats, making it the reason why families tend to trust Babyshop to provide them with the best options to purchase from. Complying with the highest quality standards and regulations, Babyshop maintains its trustworthiness in the minds of parents and authorities alike.
