Oman Cricket: NYDT emerge A Division champions

Muscat: The Oman Cricket's National Youth Development Team (NYDT), a team comprising 14 Omanis and six expatriates, emerged champions of the A Division league.
The NYDT team, which is managed by Omani manager Sher Mohammed, completed their league engagements with a total of 18 points after winning seven of their eight matches.
A delighted Sher Mohammed said he was 'extremely proud of his boys.
He also promised bigger and better things in the next season.
Last year the NYDT squad comprised of 10 Omanis and 10 expatriates.
Based on NYDT's success in the 2014-2015 season, Oman Cricket had decided to continue with the National Youth Development program in 2015-2016 as well, to encourage and develop the game among the Omani youth.
All players and staff were individually contracted and paid by Oman Cricket and sponsored for all clothing, equipment and travel.

Oman Cricket’s National Youth Development Program was honoured with the ‘Overall Cricket Development’ award (2014-2015) by the Asian Cricket Council and is also nominated for the International Cricket Council award in the same category.
