Business in Oman fined for selling hair products gone bad

Muscat: A business in the governorate of Al Dhahirah has been fined OMR600 for selling hair products that had gone bad, the Public Authority for Consumer Protection (PACP) announced.
During an inspection, PACP officers fined a business after they found cream-based hair products on sale that were no longer fit for use. Officials said that after the product was tested, it became clear that its natural properties had changed. The cream-based products turned into a liquid and its colour had changed, which were indications that the product was not safe to use.
As a result, the products were confiscated and the business was fined OMR600 in accordance with Article 19 of the executive regulations of the Consumer Protection Law.
