General Education Diploma second semester exams begin in Oman

Muscat: The second semester (first attempt) exams of the General Education Diploma (GED) for the academic year 2017/2018 started on Sunday at 339 centres across Oman.
In all, 49,515 students are taking the exams this year, including 41,613 in the General Education Diploma, 6,294 in the General Education Diploma (Adult Education), 1,324 in the General Education Diploma (Bilingual), 177 in the Diploma of General Education and Islamic Sciences and 42 in the General Education Diploma for the Royal Guard of Oman Technical College (Bilingual), 65 in the General Education Diploma for Special Education.
There are four marking centres operating in the morning and evening, in the educational directorates in the governorates of Muscat, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah and Al Dakhliyah, with 6,400 markers and 6,600 proctors.
