Muscat: The National Working Group for the Adoption of the Consolidated Promotional Plan held its fifth meeting on Tuesday at the Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development (Ithraa) chaired by Dr. Salim bin Nasser Al Ismaili, Chairman of the Authority.
The meeting followed up the decisions of the fourth meeting of the group held last December.
The proposals for defining the vision and mission of the national team for adoption were presented. The meeting discussed the Consolidated Promotional Plan for 2018.
The meeting also briefed the members on the recently completed website, which serves as an e-portal under the name of “Oman Promotion”.
This e-portal deals with all the initiatives organised by the concerned parties in its annual work plans, to be available through this portal, thus providing the opportunity to find a common coordination that provides effort and time and gives a unified message about the Sultanate.
The National Working Group for the Adoption of the Consolidated Promotional Plan aims to unify the efforts exerted in highlighting the Sultanate on the external level, marketing its products and competitive advantages, promotion of attracting investment through the adoption of a unified national promotional plan, coordination with the concerned bodies through initiatives organised at the local or external levels within the annual action plans and other efforts that will highlight the Sultanate and its excellence at all levels.
