His Majesty the Sultan receives thanks from Azerbaijan

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said has received a cable of thanks from President Dr. Ilham Heydar Aliyev of the Republic of Azerbaijan in reply to His Majesty's congratulatory cable on the occasion of being elected as a president for the republic.
In his cable, President Aliyev expressed his thanks for His Majesty's congratulations and best wishes, stressing the importance of promoting the relations and cooperation between the Sultanate and Azerbaijan to serve interests of their people, wishing His Majesty good health and happiness and the Omani people further progress and prosperity.
