​First women's gym in this part of Oman opens

Muscat: The launch of the first women's gymnasium in the wilayat of Samail in Al Dakhiliyah governorate promises to provide a safe environment for women to take care of their health and fitness.

The Women's Gym, the first of its kind in Samail, is a women's project that came from the idea of having a women-only lounge that deals with the fitness and health appearance of women, after the emergence of many health problems associated with unhealthy lifestyles such as obesity.

The gym has a variety of sporting equipment, and comes with special rooms for exercise classes such as Aerobics and Zumba. There are also special classes for self-defence for women and children, and gymnastics. The hall also offers special food and sports programmes for children with obesity.

"The women of Samail expressed their happiness that there is a women's gym equipped with athletic devices and can protect women's privacy, which will encourage them to practice more sports exercise that can help to reduce the cases of obesity and other health problems related to poor physical fitness," Rahma Al Siyabi, the owner of the gym said.
