The Indian School Muscat Alumni (ISMA) association organised a memorial meet to celebrate their achievements and honour their lives. Mukund, President of Indian School Alumni Association, said, “Darwin and Prince were our friends, our family and our students. They still hold a lot of value among all their friends, families and teachers. I have been talking to a lot of their friends and all I hear is about the amazing people they were. Each of the experiences they shared with the deceased is priceless and means a lot to everyone. They were extremely talented and made a significant difference in the lives of a lot of people.”
Friends of the young men expressed their fondness for them. One of their friends said, “I still cannot get over what happened. Actually, to be honest, I am still stunned and I don’t know... God has written something and it has happened and I pray that it doesn’t happen to anyone else. We were really close and I was with them from class five till date.”
Another friend said, “They were five years younger than me. I’ve seen them as kids and they grew up to become adults right in front of us. Prince was cheerful and always smiling. He had such a pleasing personality. Darwin had an amazing talent. I’ve seen him beat boxing and playing the drums. I can’t believe they went this soon. Hopefully, they are in a better place.”
Another friend added, “Prince was an amazing senior and an equally amazing friend. He is one of the most cheerful persons I’ve known; I just cannot believe he is no more. It’s too shocking, but I know for a fact that he will always be in our hearts.”
Mukund concluded the condolence meet by saying, “Our prayers and thoughts also go out to Percy Coelho who is in the intensive care unit and we pray for his speedy recovery. Our thoughts go out to their parents and families to give them strength and resilience during these tough times.”
The group also took the initiative to help Percy, who is still in hospital, by collecting funds for his treatment.
