Great men should be connected to their countries: Al Rowas

Muscat: Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Rowas, Advisor to His Majesty the Sultan for Cultural Affairs said that the International Symposium on the Omani Al Muhallab Ibn Abi Sufra Al Azdi aims at preserving the Omani eternal history.
“The symposium was held to stop aggression on our forefathers and the history of great men who did great service to our country and everyone at everyplace they have been to,” Al Rowas affirmed in statements to reporters after the opening of the symposium.
“While history is not the property of anyone, still great men in history should be connected to their countries and loyalties,” Al Rowas added.
“I hope such symposiums will be a good way to extend bridges of communication with others to be part of this kind land. They left Oman and missed the way for forty years. If they came again to be Omanis, they are welcomed. We have to give everyone his rights,” he said.
Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Rowas said: “Aggression on the dead is not a noble characteristic. We are here today to support this right and to raise awareness of the long history from Malik bin Fahm all the way through to Queen Shamsaa and till the rule of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, the architect of modern Omani Renaissance. We pray to Allah the Almighty to grant His Majesty the Sultan a good health, wellbeing and a long life to remain a role model for us and a leader in promoting welfare, security and peace.
