PEIE participates in Oman Plast 2018

Muscat: The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (PEIE) is participating in the 5th International Plastics, Rubber, Petrochemicals, Printing and Packaging Industry Exhibition 2018 (Oman Plast), which kicked off on Monday at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre under the auspices of Eng. Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, Undersecretary, Ministry of Oil and Gas.
Oman Plast, in its 5th edition, showcases the latest technology and machinery used in manufacturing plastics, rubber, petrochemicals, printing and packaging. The exhibition offers an ideal platform for Oman and its neighbours to source new technology and products.
At the exhibition, PEIE aims to brief visitors on its plans to enhance the Sultanate’s position as a leading regional centre of manufacturing, ICT, innovation and entrepreneurship excellence, and its mission of attracting industrial investment and providing continued support, through regionally and globally competitive strategies, good infrastructure, value adding services, and easy governmental processes.
PEIE plans to spread awareness about the Origin Oman Campaign to promote and market Omani products at the local, regional and international levels. The campaign is a national initiative to encourage consumers and organisations to buy Oman-made goods and services, promote national pride in the manufacturing industry and highlight the economic importance of buying and choosing locally manufactured products and services.
