New freehold residential project launched in Muscat Hills

Muscat: A new freehold development has been launched in Muscat Hills, with ownership open for both Omanis and expats.
Titled “Rose Village”, the project is being built by Maysan Properties to include 39 luxury townhouses in close proximity to the Muscat Hills 18-hole golf course. Construction of the project’s first phase will start in September 2018 and is expected to be completed 18 months after breaking ground.
Speaking exclusively to the Times of Oman, Sadiq Sulaiman, CEO of Maysan Properties, said, “We chose the name ‘Rose’ because roses always bring happiness and represent luxury. We wanted our development to complement the golf course, which is another luxury development.”
“It’s being built as a complete lifestyle community, with a park, open gym, views, a walkway, and an optional lift within the units if a homeowner wants it,” he added.
He said that foreign homeowners, their spouses, and children under 18 years will receive a two-year renewable residency visa tied to their property.
Marketing for the project is being handled by REZONE Property. The company’s Executive Director, Nabeel Abdul Munem Sulaiman, told the Times of Oman, “Properties start at OMR178,000 and go up to OMR225,000.”
Tourism complexes
Sulaiman added, “Many things inspired us to make this development. First of all, we still feel there is demand for Integrated Tourism Complexes, we have been able to provide an affordable example, when compared to other freehold projects in Oman.”
Financing for the project will be available from local banks. Direct payments will be linked to the progress of construction or mortgage schemes provided by a bank. Homeowners who prefer to pay the entire amount in full will receive a special discounted rate.
