76 expats arrested by Ministry of Manpower

Muscat: More than 70 expats were arrested in Buraimi in April this year, the Ministry of Manpower reported on Sunday.
"The ministry, represented by the manpower department in Buraimi, managed to arrest 76 workers in violation of the labour law and regulations in April," the ministry said.
Over 400 violators of the Labour Law were also recorded across the country between April 23 and 29, with the ministry's labour inspection team finding 475 cases in violation of Oman's Labour Law.
The Al-Batinah Governorate recorded the highest number of violations during this period, at 162 cases, followed by the Muscat Governorate at 132 cases.
