Ministry of commerce and industry issues standards for detergents in Oman

Muscat: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has issued Omani standard specifications (Unified Gulf Standards related to detergents of all types) to identify the quality of such products and the safety of use of the same by consumers and their safety to environment. The ministry has identified the terms of packaging and storage of such products.
Nadiya bint Mohammed Al Siyabi, Head of Chemical and Petroleum Products Specifications Department said that consumers should observe the risks of detergents and direct and long term health impact.
She added that the Ministry has issued several Oman standard specifications (Unified Gulf Standards) on all types of detergents including detergents for home use.
