IPL: de Villiers fires as RCB thrash Delhi

Muscat: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) beat Delhi Daredevils by six wickets with two overs to spare at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday.
The victory can be attributed to A.B. de Villiers's Man of the Match performance, scoring 90 runs from just 39 balls.
Bangalore captain Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to field first, as Delhi struggled with both their openers Gautam Gambhir and Jason Roy failing to score big. Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant steadied the ship for the Daredevils, scoring 52 and 85 respectively, helping Delhi finished at 175 for five.
Bangalore and India leggie Yuzvendra Chahal picked up a couple of wickets, conceding 22 runs in three overs, while Pacer Umesh Yadav finished with figures of one for 27 in his four overs.
RCB also opened poorly with Manan Vohra throwing his wicket away early on, but Quinton de Kock managed 18 out of 16 balls. Virat Kohli came in and smashed 30 from 26 balls, before being dismissed by a brilliant catch at the boundary by Trent Boult on Harsh Patel’s delivery.
A.B. de Villiers then put the match outside Delhi's reach with his knock, with only Boult the pick of the Delhi bowlers with figures of one for 33 in his four overs.
