​Woman assaulted, house and vehicle set on fire in Oman

Muscat: Two people who broke into a house, attacked a woman and set her house and vehicle on fire were arrested, announced the Royal Oman Police (ROP).

According to authorities, the accused broke into a home and attacked the wife of the owner, before setting their house and vehicle on fire.

However, no information about the victim’s condition was revealed.

According to ROP, “The Royal Oman Police force has apprehended two people for breaking into a home in Jaalan Bani bu Ali, Southern Sharqiya. After getting inside, they attacked the wife of the person who owned the home, beat her, set fire to both the home and a vehicle.

“Legal proceedings are underway,” the statement read.
