Delegated by His Majesty, Futaisi to open Sultan Qaboos Mosque in Shinas

Muscat: Delegated by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Futaisi, Minister of Transport and Communications will open the Sultan Qaboos Mosque in the Wilayat of Shinas in the Governorate of North Al Batinah.
The mosque stretches over 61,280 square metres of which 9,172 square metres is built area.
The mosque includes the main prayer hall, which accommodates 2,592 people; the woman prayer area, which accommodates 357; a public library, classrooms, offices for maintenance, warehouses and administration, green spaces, landscaping and car parking area.
The mosque, which is one of the landmarks in the wilayat, is known for unique architectural design; characteristics of many Sultan Qaboos Mosques, which His Majesty the Sultan orders to build at his own cost in different wilayats in the Sultanate to enhance religious aspects for citizens and residents in the Sultanate.
