Video: Two women in Oman embrace Islam

Muscat: Two women have embraced Islam, at a ceremony during the final lecture of Zimbabwe's Grand Mufti Sheikh Ismail Bin Musa Menk in Muscat.
The lecture, titled 'The Role of Women in Islamic Civilisation', saw a huge turn from Muslim and non-Muslim women at the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque.
Speaking to Times of Oman, one the new reverts, Aigee Damandaman from the Philippines, expressed her joy: "I was always so interested in Islam. Today, when I started saying the Shahada, I got goosebumps. I was so nervous but i feel so happy now."

Internationally renowned Islamic scholar Mufti Menk, the Grand Mufti of Zimbabwe, delivered a series of lectures from 6 to 8 December, 2018. His talks were on the themes: "True Message of the Prophets"; "Islam in the Modern World: Opportunities and Challenges"; and "Role of Women in Islamic Civilisation".
