Muscat: KLM has launched its new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner to Muscat, with the first flight to Muscat International Airport arriving from Abu Dhabi International Airport, on March 27.
Muscat is the third GCC destination served by the KLM Dreamliner following the launch of the inaugural flight to Abu Dhabi, in November 2015 – the first KLM route to be served by the new aircraft.
KLM now operates a daily service between Muscat and Abu Dhabi, which then connects the Dreamliner’s 294 passengers into KLM’s global network of destinations. KLM’s new, state-of-the-art Dreamliner offers unprecedented levels of comfort in air travel and a new in-flight experience for passengers.
In business class, passengers enjoy 2.07m long full flat seats, full privacy and direct access to the aisle. Passengers travelling in economy class will appreciate the new seats, which offer 40 per cent more recline.
All passengers have access to a power socket for recharging mobile devices, larger cabin windows, state-of-the-art inflight entertainment system, and onboard Wi-Fi.
Gilles Roche, General Manager for Air France KLM Gulf, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Pakistan, commented: “KLM is delighted to welcome our third Dreamliner service in the GCC with this new flight to Muscat.
“Muscat is a key route and destination for KLM, as we develop our services for passengers based in Oman and across the GCC region. The daily flight from Muscat to Abu Dhabi and then Amsterdam provides the ideal gateway into our global network.”
