Region’s leading oil and gas exhibition opens officially

Muscat: Held under the patronage of the Ministry of Oil and Gas (MoG), Oil and Gas West Asia (OGWA) Exhibition and Conference officially opened on Monday. Bringing leading oil and gas industry specialists together in Oman, the event was inaugurated by His Excellency Mohammed bin Al Zubair, Advisor to His Majesty for Economic Planning Affairs.
With strong support from Oman Society of Petroleum Services (OPAL) and Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), OGWA, organised by Omanexpo, is considered as one of the key events in the region.
After the official opening, His Excellency and the VIP entourage took a tour of the exhibition, which attracted this year more than 400 exhibitors from 19 countries including France, Egypt, Iran, Italy, China and South Korea. The Chinese pavilion saw the largest participation with over 40 companies convening to exchange business opportunities in Oman. Until March 28, the SPE EOR conference will shed light on the latest developments, initiatives, and advances in EOR.
OGWA is an international biennial exhibition and conference that gathers local and international oil and gas companies, technology and service providers, equipment suppliers and other companies. It aims to provide trade and business opportunities among the local and international oil and gas companies and encourage foreign investment.
