Oman tourism: Two geological caves discovered in Al Jabal Al Akhdar

Al Jabal Al Akhdhar: An Omani German geology team led by Dr. Mohammed bin Hilal Al Kindi, Chairman of the Omani Geology Society announced that it has discovered a geologically significant cave near Aqbat Al Bayout in Al Rowais in the Niyabat of Al Jabal Al Akhdar in the Governorate of A'Dakhiliyah.
The cave was named ' Khaslat Al Rowais', the same name of the site at which it was discovered.
The 30 -meter long cave contains a number of beautiful rock formations.
The team also visited the newly discovered cave by a British team in the Niyabat of Al Jabal Al Akhdhar.
Dr. Mohammed al- Kindi pointed out during the visit that newly discovered cave is 100 meter long and 40 meter deep.
