Expat, citizen injured in Oman house fire

Muscat: Two people, an Omani and an expat, have been injured in a fire that started in a house in Al Mawaleh, the Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance (PACDA) has announced.

Officials revealed that while the citizen “suffered serious injuries” the expat who is of “African” nationality “suffered moderate injuries” due to the fire.

In a statement online, PACDA said, “The fire brigade from the department of civil defence and ambulance in Muscat managed to extinguish a fire that started in a house in Al Mawaleh area in the Wilayat of Seeb.”

Authorities added that “emergency care was provided to the injured and they were then transported to a hospital.”
