76th Pakistan Day celebrations held at Pakistan School Muscat

Muscat: Pakistan School Muscat held a flag hoisting ceremony at Dr. A. Q. Khan Hall on 23rd March, 2016 to commemorate the “Pakistan Resolution” day. The 76th “Pakistan Day” was celebrated with traditional fervour.
The Chargé d'affaires of the embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Sultanate of Oman, Naheed Naveed Atif, graced the auspicious occasion as the Chief Guest.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Muhammad Adnan Shahzad, members of the BoDs, senior principal PSS Attaullah Niazi, principal PSM Khalid Jadoon, principal of Pakistan School Muscat (Junior Branch) Munnazza Ghafoor, principal of Pakistan School Seeb, embassy officers, teachers, students and a large number of Pakistanis also marked the occasion.
The ceremony started in the name of Allah with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Qari Muhammad Raheem. Later, Naheed Naveed Atif hoisted the national flag, accompanied by the Defence Attaché Altaf Hussain and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Muhammad Adnan Shahzad. The prayer for the prosperity and integrity of the country was recited by Qari Muhammad Rahim.
Senior principal PSS, Attaullah Niazi, addressed the audience and highlighted the significance of the emergence of Pakistan.
He spoke about a Pakistani vision that embellishes the character of Pakistani youth. Furthermore, he urged the Pakistani nation to resolve to do its best so that it is hailed by the generations to come.
A tableau, titled “Shukria Pakistan,” was presented by the students of PSM junior wing. Salman Tahir delivered a speech in English while Muhammad Waqas also shared his views with the audience.
A slide show about the Qaid’s message was also presented afterwards.
The Chargé d'affaires, Naheed Naveed Atif, appreciated the presentations, addressed the audience and highlighted the importance of the Pakistan Day.
She reiterated the need of pursuing the basic philosophy of life, which is to dream high, anchor the dreams in the steadfastness and nurture these with hard work.
The chairman of the Board of Directors, Muhammad Adnan Shazad, said every 23rd of March is an opportunity to revive the very spirit that nurtures the roots of Pakistan.
He further added that we have to promise ourselves to work for the betterment of our nation, constructing it brick by brick with a clear vision and the best of intentions.
