Muscat: The primary students of The Sultan’s School celebrated 40th anniversary recently.
This memorable event gave thanks to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said for his ongoing commitment to the development of Omani youth, and his forward-looking stance on education.
It was a truly joyful occasion that was enjoyed by staff, students and parents, alike. The afternoon’s festivities opened with the National Anthem and a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a selection of songs, dances and poetry presented by the children in both English and Arabic.
There was a special presentation about the history of the school, with photographs from the school’s archives and memories shared by the school’s alumni. This proved to be a special delight for the children, many of whom have parents who attended The Sultan’s School.
The Sultan’s School was honoured by the presence of a special guest, Salah Al Zadjali, who came to help the children put some professional finishing touches to the 40th anniversary celebrations, adding his own glamour and sparkle to a very special day.
After all these festivities, the event closed with the presentation of a beautiful cake, which was cut and shared among all the guests.
