Sultanate to take part in GCC fiscal meeting

Muscat: The Sultanate represented by the Central Bank of Oman (CBO) will take part in the 69th meeting of the Committee of Governors of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Monetary Institutions and Central Banks, which is scheduled to be held in the State of Kuwait on Monday.
The Sultanate’s delegation to the meeting will be led by Tahir bin Salem bin Abdullah Al Amri, CBO Executive President.
The meeting will discuss a number of issues related to supervising and monitoring of the GCC banking system, the payment systems technologies used in the GCC financial sector.
The Committee will also discuss the latest developments about standardising the monetary and financial statics in the GCC states as well as the latest financial and monetary developments.
