Enhance Eagles, Salman Stores, Zawawi and Zubair CT win

Muscat: Pranav Mehta once again came to MDC Enhance Eagles’ rescue, guiding his team to a thrilling three-wicket win against Muscat Projects and Environment in an A Division T20 game at the Ministry of Sports Affairs Ground II on Saturday.
Opting to bowl first, Eagles did well to bundle Muscat Projects out for 148 in 20 overs. Jason Delboy (37 off 38) and Arun Dev (unbeaten 25 off 14) were the only notable scorers for Muscat Projects team.
Reeling at 43 for four, Eagles were saved by Pranav’s gutsy 59 not out off 36 as they chased down the total in 19.5 overs, scoring 152 for seven. Aneermon scored 26 off 19. Sarmad Shah bowled well to bag three for 23.
Brief scores: Muscat Projects and Environment 148 all out in 20 overs (Jason Delboy 37, Arun Dev 25 n.o.) lost to MDC Enhance Eagles 152 for 7 in 19.5 overs (Pranav Mehta 59 n.o., Aneermon 26; Sarmad Shah 3/23).
Salman Stores made to toil
Salman Stores were made to sweat for every run they needed in the final overs to secure a narrow three-wicket victory against Renaissance in another A Division T20 match at the same venue.
Batting first, Renaissance posted 145 for six in 20 overs thanks to 23-ball 47 by Dushan Praveena and 29 off 30 by Kurukulasuriya Sajith. Asim Kamal took two wickets.
Salman Stores found themselves in serious trouble at 56 for four and then 89 for six in the 13th over but recovered in time to register a last-ball win, scoring 149 for seven. Tauseef Ahmed (32 not out off 21), Imran Ali (31 off 28) and Asad Ali (30 off 28) were the leading scorers. Amith Eranda bagged two for 28.

Meanwhile, the Senior Cup Knockout Tournament, Zawawi Powertech Engineering defeated OCT Al Hail A by six wickets thanks to superb performances by Sachin Kumar and Kalairasan Natarajan
Batting first, OCT Al Hail scored 132 for eight in 20 overs. Waleed Rahim (42 off 42) and Abdul Ghani 23 off 32) were the leading scorers. Sachin bowled a brilliant four-over spell, taking three wickets for just eight runs. Mohan Kumar and Shameer Kariyadan took two wickets each.
Zawawi Powertech achieved the target in 16 overs, scoring 133 for four thanks to Kalairasan’s 30-ball unbeaten 51, Muhammed Ali’s 24 off 21 and Sachin’s 23 off 17. Suhaib Al Balushi claimed two for 31.

Zubair CT down Oasis Water
Zubair CT defeated Oasis Water by three wickets in a thrilling Intermediate Cup Knockout game.
Opting to bowl first, Zubair restricted Oasis Water to 135 for eight and then chased down the total in 19 overs, scoring 136 for seven. Mayalakkara bowled superbly for Zubair, taking three for 18 and then contributed a valuable 19 runs.
