Restofair expands into Oman

Muscat: Restofair Oman is scheduled to open the doors of its first Cash & Carry store by end of March 2018, which will be an 850sqm store at Al Harthy Complex in Qurum.
The store will anchor Naranjee Hirjee’s new Food Service Solution segment and will include a showcase centre for concept products as well.
Restofair is a subsidiary of ECF France, a European leader in the distribution of small equipment and consumables for professionals in the hotel, restaurant and food industry with more than 80,000 clients across 12 countries since inception in 1880. ECF reaches out to the clients with 200 direct sales agents and 44 Cash & Carry networks in Europe.
The UAE arm of the group, Restofair RAK is a joint venture between RAK Porcelain & ECF France. Central warehouse in Ras Al Khaimah with Dubai Cash & Carry outlet, offices in Ras Al Khaimah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and direct sales agents all over UAE to serve faster. Restofair RAK are committed to meet specific and varying expectations, whether it is a hotel, restaurant, cafe, bakery, catering company, a prestigious establishment, school, hospital or a fast-food unit, a dedicated specialised team is ready to offer a personalised service.
Naranjee Hirjee Group is a century-old group of companies in Oman, with various business interests from commodity trade, FMCG, health & beauty, lifestyle, industrial chemicals, restaurants, HORECA Food solutions and more. The family-run unit has been working with Restofair RAK for the past few years under its HORECA arm, and will now make a shift in the business to expand into the HORECA solutions segment with a large Cash & Carry store at Al Harthy Complex in Qurum.
“The Restofair Oman facility will be a big shift for our business in Oman, as probably the only Cash & Carry concept for hotels, restaurants and catering (HORECA) establishments in Muscat. We have been working out of a catalogue and the problem with that is the fact that it increases the lead-time for stock deliveries and our customers have had to wait for up to 12 weeks. With this Cash & Carry concept, we will now have ready stock and also be able to reduce the lead time on order to 1 week, with the back end support of ECF in UAE,” commented Amit Sampat, managing director, Naranjee Hirjee Hotel Supplies.
With over 9,000 articles in the catalogue and approximate 6000 references in stock, Restofair Oman will be able to cater to a large segment of the HORECA industry in Oman, providing immediate delivery and solutions for all needs. The core product offering will revolve around the small operating equipment, but Restofair Oman will also be showcasing RAK Porcelain concepts, being a global leading brand in porcelain tableware, and also FlexMob contract furniture, from Europe.
“Over a decade of experience in the Middle East and more than 100 years worldwide, we are committed to meet specific and varying expectations within the industry. We are very excited to expand into the Oman market, as we see tremendous potential with the growth in the tourism sector, with more hotels and restaurants being planned in Oman, and if we can offer new concepts to the younger entrepreneurs, then we would feel that we contributed to the growth of this growing industry in Oman,” commented Raphael Saxod, managing director, ECF Middle East & Restofair RAK, UAE.
