Arab Open University forum kicks off at Muscat International Book Fair

Muscat: The sixth scientific forum of the Arab Open University entitled “Intellectual Production and Technical Openness in Oman” was opened at the Muscat International Book Fair in its 23rd session on Tuesday under the patronage of Dr. Abdul Munim bin Mansour Al Hasani, Minister of Information.
The forum, which ends tomorrow, is part of a series of scientific meetings organised by the Arab Open University. It included many aspects of knowledge and scientific fields, including culture, thought, literature, language, historical studies, etc. Through this cooperation, the University has endeavoured to contribute to enhancing the cultural, intellectual aspects of the Sultanate, out of the belief in the importance of this cooperation in building a national culture that enhances the scientific environment for building the capacity of academics and students benefiting from these services.
The forum will present 17 papers on four topics including: Education and Sociology, Openness of Modern Technical Media, Reading of Omani History, Islamic Culture in light of Modern Technical Openness, and the Impact of Modern Technology in Language and Literary Forms.
