Thousands protest against 'weapons deals' in Munich

Munich: About 2,000 demonstrators including protest group Attac gathered in protest against what they claim is backdoor weapons dealing at the annual Munich Security Conference.
A planned attempt to form a symbolic human chain around the Bayerischer Hof was called off after snow and cold kept protesters away. Protesters gathered under the motto: Peace not armament calling for a reduction in ams dealing and the trend towards arms stockpiling. Kurdish protesters joined the march which ended peacefully.
