Muscat: Greg Van Avermaet has finally done it. After coming close to victory over the years, including in Wednesday's second stage where he finished second, the BMC Racing Team rider took the top honours in the third stage of Tour of Oman on Thursday.
The Olympic champion finally added a victory in the Sultanate to his stellar collection of wins.

With his first win in 2018, he also takes the red leader's jersey from Nathan Haas of Katusha-Alpecin.
