Modi, Sayyid Asa'ad discuss ways to boost bilateral ties

Muscat: Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of the Republic of India received at his residence in Muscat yesterday His Highness Sayyid Asa'ad bin Tariq Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs, Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, within the framework of his current visit to the Sultanate.
During the meeting, the good bilateral relations and avenues of cooperation between the two countries, as well as means of developing them in various fields were reviewed. Issues of common concern were also discussed during the meeting.
Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of the Republic of India expressed his gratitude and that of his accompanying delegation of this constructive visit. He also stressed the importance of sharing views on cementing the joint cooperation between the two sides. He also affirmed his country's appreciation of the wise policy being pursued by the Sultanate under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said in its relations with countries around the world.
He also hailed the existing strong bilateral relations between the Sultanate and the Republic of India.
On his turn, Sayyid Asa'ad bin Tariq Al Said commended the level of existing relations between the two countries, as well as the remarkable progress being witnessed by such bilateral cooperation in various fields.
The meeting was attended by Saif bin Mohammed Al Abri, Secretary General of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs, Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, Saif bin Ahmed Al Sawafi, Advisor at Sayyid Asa'ad's Office and members of the official delegation accompanying the Indian guest.
