TRC invites applications for Falling Walls Lab competition

Muscat: The Research Council (TRC) has opened applications for the Falling Walls Lab Oman competition, to be organised in collaboration with the Falling Walls Foundation at the Holiday Inn in Muscat on May 7, 2018.
The idea of the Falling Walls Lab Oman competition is to present in English an idea of a research project, or an entrepreneurial or social initiative relevant to the world of today in just three minutes.
The presentation should convince a high-level competition jury comprising experts from academic fields, research institutions, and the business sector.
Applications are open for outstanding talents and innovative thinkers from all disciplines, including Bachelors and Masters students, PhD candidates, postdocs, young professionals, and entrepreneurs. The deadline for the submission of applications is March 8, 2018.
The competition is being held for the third consecutive year in Oman, to select one candidate who will represent the Sultanate in the Falling Walls Conference that will take place in Berlin on November 9, 2018.
The conference involves various scientists and researchers from around the world and aims to build and strengthen links between academics, distinguished innovators and entrepreneurs from all areas.
The winner from the Sultanate gets an opportunity to attend the Falling Walls Conference, where leaders from science, industry, and policy-making meet.
