Muscat: More than 3,000 Omanis got jobs in the private sector between January 1 and 22.
The Ministry of Manpower announced yesterday that in continuation of the efforts exerted by all government and private bodies to provide jobs for Omanis, as approved by the Council of Ministers in this regard, 3,454 citizens were appointed in various institutions.
Among them 1,724 had certificates below the general education diploma, 1,093 had general education diploma, and 637 possessed higher diploma and university degree.
The Ministry of Manpower stresses that the government is continuing to provide employment opportunities that have been approved according to the plan being implemented to accommodate job seekers with the various opportunities available in the private sector.
A number of interviews will be conducted for job seekers, which were confirmed by private sector establishments from January 25 to 31 by companies.
Interviews will be conducted in various directorates general and departments of the Ministry in the Sultanate's governorates.
