Muscat: T FM, the voice of Times of Oman,will be officially opened today, under the patronage of Dr Abdul Mon’em bin Mansour Al Hassani, Oman’s Minister of Information.
The English language radio station - together with its Arabic language counterpart Al Shabiba FM, are part of Muscat Media Galaxy, with livestreaming online 24/7 to drive Oman's first visual radio stations. Muscat Media Group is one of Oman's best known media houses and offers more than 28 print and digital products across its multiple platforms in Arabic and English.
The group publishes 'Times of Oman' in English and 'Al Shabiba' in Arabic, in addition to two weekly magazines, '7 Days' in Arabic and 'Hi' in English.
Further, the group recently launched "Al Shabiba TV" on YouTube. Al Shabiba FM and T-FM come as part of the group’s ongoing, groundbreaking developments in the Oman media landscape.
The trial broadcast of Al Shabiba FM radio station in the Governorates of Muscat and North Al Batinah will air on 97.5 MHz and in the Governorate of Dhofar on 98.5 MHz. The trial broadcast of T FM radio will start at 95.4 MHz in the Governorates of Muscat and North Al Batinah and 91 MHz in the Governorate of Dhofar. The broadcast will gradually cover the rest of the governorates.
Muscat Media Galaxy has employed state-of-the-art software and technology to livestream broadcasts, which will enable the audience to access the various radio programmes through https://radio.shabiba.com and social media.
