Muscat: Feeney's Restaurant continues to support cancer patients, and is currently raising money for children battling cancer.
Since 2007, when Cyclone Gonu struck, Feeney's has taken the initiative in helping those affected by natural disasters, illnesses and disabilities, such as the blind and disabled, as well as in raising money for people uprooted following last year’s Nepalese earthquake.

"We want to support the country by giving back every year," said John Fannin, Feeney's Manager, while adding that the Oman Cancer Association (OCA) is the group the restaurant assists most often.
Last year, Feeney's raised OMR1,400 for cancer awareness and delivered the money to OCA. Fannin said that by revealing the amount raised, the charity will continue to reach the same goals as last year.
The money is collected during raffles, in which customers purchase tickets and win prizes during drawings.
Muscat Duty Free, Chedi Hotel, Grand Hayyat Hotel and Mercedes are supporting Feeney's fund raising this year.
"We do this every year, and if anything happens between now and March next year, we will have another fund raiser. We try to give to two charities every year," said Fannin.
