Defence Minister receives written message from India

Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Saud bin Harib Al Busaidi, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs received at his office in Mu’askar Bait Al Falaj on Wednesday Sanjay Mitra, Indian Defence Secretary, Head of the Indian side at the Omani-Indian Joint Military Cooperation Committee (JMCC), being held in Muscat during 28 and 29 November 2018.
Sanjay Mitra, IAS, Defence Secretary handed over a written message to Sayyid Badr from Nirmala Sitharaman, Indian Defence Minister dealing with the military cooperation between the two countries. The two sides reviewed the good relations and discussed means of enhancing the existing cooperation between the ministries of defence in both countries.
The two sides also exchanged viewpoints on a range of issues of mutual concern that serve the interest of both countries.
The meeting was attended by Mohammed bin Nasser Al Rasbi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Defence, the Indian Ambassador appointed to the Sultanate and the guest’s accompanying delegation.
