Mehul, Masters, Maxitech and Danmark post victories

Muscat: Mehul Enterprises rode on vital contributions by captain Imran Khan and all-rounder Haneef Jamaluddin to beat Majees CT by 14 runs in an F Division match at Muscat Municipality Ground III in Al Amerat on Friday.
Asked to bat first, Mehul set a target of 165 to win in 20 overs. Imran led the way with a 24-ball 47 while Donald Taylor (27 off 24) and Haneef (25 off 24) also made significant contributions. Nanda Kumar and Sathish Kushal claimed three and two wickets respectively.
Majees fought valiantly but fell short by 14 runs despite a stubborn 67 not out by Sudheer Venkata. Shejeer Abdul Rahman batted well too for his 33 off 28. Haneef led the bowling honours with two wickets for 27.

Masters down OCT Al Nahdha
Muscat Masters registered another win against their name, defeating OCT Al Nahdha by 24 runs in a G Division game at Muscat Municipality Ground IV.
Batting first after losing the toss, Masters bounced back from being three down for 38 in the eighth over to gather 156 for five in 20 overs thanks largely to vital knocks by Narendra Vandaria (49 not out off 39), Danish Mohammed (30 off 26) and Ramesh Pandey (26 off 12).
OCT Al Nahdha failed to pose any serious challenge after four of their batsmen were run out and folded up for 132 in the final over. Faisal Al Balushi was the only notable scorer with 41 off 39 balls. Muhammed Sarwar bagged two wickets for 25.

Nousad lifts Maxitech
Maxitech International handed Global United a five-wicket thrashing thanks to brilliant bowling by Nousad Haneefa in an H Division clash at OAC Ground III in Seeb.
Opting to bowl first, Maxitech restricted Global United to just 122 for eight in 20 overs. Mohamed Tayub (30) and Shoab Mohammed (23) were the main scorers.
Nousad was brilliant with the ball, taking three wickets for just 16 runs in his four-over spell while Sajeev Sathyanandan bagged two for 14.
Maxitech raced to the target in only 15.1 overs thanks to impressive batting by captain Tamilkumaran (37 off 27) and Rahul Rajeev (29 off 24). Mohammed Rashid and Wasif Ahmed took two wickets each.

Imran inspires Danmark
Imran baggad five wicketrs to bowl Danmark to a 155-run victory against Sam Royals in an I Division game at OAC Ground III.
Batting first Danmark piled up 206 for three in 20 overs, thanks to strokeful knocks by Abhimanyu Bhatti (66 not out off 42), Doresh Devender (66 off 50) and Junaid Iqbal (50 off 19).
Facing a huge total, Sam Royals crumbled under intense pressure, scoring a meagre 51 in 9.2 overs. Imran claimed five wickets while Harikeshav Pramodu took two.
