Conference on sustainable development from Monday

Muscat: The 18th Annual Conference on “The role of governments in achievement of the objectives of Sustainable Development 2030” will start tomorrow under the auspices of His Highness Sayyid Asa’ad bin Tariq Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs, Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan.
Being organised by the Ministry of Civil Service and Arab Administrative Development Organisation (ARADO), it aims to encourage Arab governments to use their capabilities to cope with the requirements of globalisation and expand cooperation with the specialised global institutions. It will discuss issues related to the future role of Arab governments with focus on achievement of the objectives of sustainable development 2030, modernisation of public administration and capacity building in Arab countries.
