Oman Air signs pact with Boeing to expand service for 787 fleet

Muscat: Oman Air signed a 10-year agreement to expand its component services programme contracted in 2015 with Boeing International Services to provide it with support services for the 787 Dreamliner replacement units. It also reinforces the company’s commitment to provide the best service to the airliner.
Ali Ridha Al Lawatiya, Executive Vice- President for Engineering and Maintenance at Oman Air, said that the agreement includes the components programme from Boeing, replacement parts and repair services, which contribute to increasing efficiency in the management of recyclable and high value parts, the components, and units of rapid replacement.
Boeing and its partners are characterised by having and managing a global spare parts centre that airlines around the world can easily access.
The agreement also highlights the importance of Boeing’s fleets international services package to airlines as it provides tailor-made solutions.
