253 workers found violating Labour Law in Oman

Muscat: Two hundred and fifty three workers were found violating the Labour Law, the latest weekly report of the joint inspection team at the Ministry of Manpower has pointed out.
Among them were 185 commercial workers, 26 farm workers and 42 housemaids and their equivalents.
North Al Batinah governorate saw the largest number with (56), followed by Muscat with (52) workers.
The competent authorities at the Ministry of Manpower are taking the legal procedures against them.
Deported
On the other hand, the Manpower Ministry statistics showed that (265) expatriate workers were deported for violating provisions of the Labour Law and the ministerial decisions executing the law.
