Oman Football: All set for GCC Goan Wing Cup football tournament

Muscat: The eagerly-awaited, GCC Goan Wing Cup eight-a-side football tournament organised by ISC Goan Wing is all set to kick-off at the Al Ghubrah Power & Desalination Co. Ground on Friday.
The day-long tournament is scheduled to start at 8.00 a.m..
According to the organisers, the 16-team tournament has this year attracted eight teams from the other GCC countries, including the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar.
The draw for the tournament was held at Majan Continental Hotel on November 3 in the presence of chief guest Allan D’costa, former chairman of GCO, and special guest Antonio Goes, advisor and founder convenor of ISC Goan Wing.
The participating teams are into four groups.
Group A: Vaxhim Divar - Dubai, Don Bosco Oratory Goa- Kuwait, FC Aldona - Qatar, Salcette United - Bahrain
Group B: Doha Airport United Maina Curtorim - Qatar, Lourdes Boys Sant Inez, Castle Boys Mapusa - Dubai, Sangolda FC - Dubai
Group C: Curtorim Club Muscat, Calangute Beach Boys, Parish Youth Nuvem, Anjuna AIG
Group D: Saligao FC, Sao Miguel – Taleigao, Chinchinim Amigos, Aldona FC
