American International School Muscat grabs second spot in swimming competition

Muscat: The American International School Muscat (TAISM) was ranked second in the regional South Asia Inter-Schools Association (SAISA) Swim championship competition.
TAISM played host to 240 swimmers and 30 coaches. This was the second time TAISM was the host of the competition. 43 SAISA records were broken during the competition, with the TAISM team consisting of 30 students breaking five of the records.
The competition included six events with race distances of 50 metres, 100m, 200m and 400m divided into six categories. The Overseas School of Colombo won the title, with 1,799 points. Taism scored 1639.5 points, while Lincoln School Nepal secured third place with 1,560 points.
