Ooredoo bags Gold Stevie Award for best new app

Muscat: Highlighting its success in elevating Oman’s digital landscape, Ooredoo received the Gold Stevie Award in the Education & Training category for its redesigned Self-Care Application during a gala event at the W Barcelona.
The accolade was accepted on behalf of the company by Ammar Al Lawati, head of Digital Care and Channels, who was also part of the team that created the innovative app that has attracted 440,000 downloads in just the past six months.
The new app has been designed and consistently upgraded to provide Ooredoo’s customers with a comprehensive online experience that meets their every need. The easy-to-use digital solution puts the company’s point of sale services at the fingertips of users, allowing them to pay bills, recharge, manage multiple lines, view real-time billing information in the palm of their hands. Available for free on both android and iOS operating systems, the milestone app provides users with an interactive experience and puts control firmly at their fingertips.
The new award is the second this year received for their now multi-award winning app, taking Best Digital Experience at the Customer Experience Management in Telecoms Awards in April 2017.
