Oman Football: OFA and Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals renew partnership

Muscat: Continuing with their long and fruitful relationship, the Oman Football Association (OFA) and Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals have renewed their partnership for the 2017-18 football season.
According to a statement issued by the OFA on Wednesday, Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals have been an important partner of the Sultanate’s football body ‘by virtue of their contribution to the beautiful game’.
“A key contributor towards ensuring health and safety standards in football, they have supported the game at all levels such as the national team, club level football, grassroots and even community events,” the OFA statement said.
They have contributed significantly to boosting the medical infrastructure around organised football in the Sultanate while also providing extensive health checkups as per FIFA standards to ensure the players are medically fit.
OFA General Secretary Said Othman Al Balushi, commenting on the renewal of the partnership, said: “Badr Al Samaa have been longstanding and important partners of the OFA and we are very pleased to have them on board for the 2017-18 season. It is with their support that we have had the opportunity to significantly improve the health and safety standards in Omani football today. We look forward to working with them for the coming season.”
Abdul Latheef, V.T. Vinod and P.A. Mohammed, Directors of Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals, also expressed delight at the renewal of the partnership.
“Football is the most played sport in Oman and as the largest private healthcare provider in the Sultanate, we wanted to get more involved and contribute to the community. Through this partnership, we want to provide a safe and healthy environment for people to play football all over Oman,” they said in a joint statement.
