Muscat: A superb match-winning show by all-rounder Ansar Raza Ansari helped Indian Social Club (ISC) to a 32-run victory against White Lotus International in a B Division clash at Muscat Municipality Ground I in Al Amerat on Friday.
Bishen Singh (57), Ansar (45) and Vineet Nair (35) were the leading contributors as ISC reached a respectable 193 for seven in the stipulated 30 overs. Chetan Mallya chipped in with a useful 20.
For White Lotus, Nazish Mohammed and Davinder Kumar bowled well to claim three and two wickets respectively.
White Lotus found the going tough against some tight ISC bowling and were soon in deep trouble at 94 for six in the 18th over. They were finally bundled out for 161 in the 29th over. Muhammed Nadeem Ashaq was the only noteworthy scorer with 47 off 51 balls. Chetan Mallya and Ansar Raza bagged three wickets each for the ISC.

Kalairasan lifts Zawawi
In another B Division game, all-rounder Kalairasan Natarajan powered Zawawi Powertech Engineering to a thrilling two-run win over Muscat Cricket Sports (MCS) at Muscat Municipality Ground II on Friday.
Kalairasan took two wickets, lending excellent support to Satnam Singh and Prabhakaran Kannan, who both bagged three wickets each, as MCS were bowled out for 195 in the 30th over. Ovais Karim top-scored for MCS with a fluent 39 while Ghulam Humayun and Ahmed Khan contributed 34 and 23 respectively.
With Zawawi struggling at 11 for three, Kalairasan played a splendid knock of 97 off 68 balls to pave the way for his team’s victory in 29 overs. Asif Abdul Al Balushi chipped in with 24 runs. Mahid Ali led the bowling honours for MCS, taking three wickets while Bhavik Hirji and Atif Raza claimed two wickets each.

Aditya stars for QBG
Qurum Business Group (QBG) eased past Attic Outdoors by 37 runs thanks to Aditya’s excellent show with the bat and ball in a C Division game at Muscat Municipality Ground IV in Al Amerat.
Batting first QBG scored 151 for seven in 20 overs, helped largely by opener Aditya’s 37 off 25. Fiyaz Kamal’s 21 and 17 extras were the other major contributors. Rossvin Anto took two wickets for Attic Outdoors.
In reply, Attic Outdoors folded up for 114, that included 22 extras with 17 wides, in 19.2 overs. Vikas Sharma top-scored with 49 off 46. Aditya was the main wicket-taker with three for 24 while Shiyas Ibrahim bagged two wickets.

Israr’s seven-for floors RAY

Israr Irfan’s seven-wicket haul bowled MARH to a four-wicket win over Ruqan Al Yaqeen (RAY) International in a D Division match at Muscat Municipality Ground I on Friday.
Israr triggered an amazing collapse after Ray received a 61-run opening stand from Mohsin Javed (26) and David Raj (28). Ray slipped from 60 for no loss to 100 all out in the 17th over with Israr taking seven wickets for just 17 runs.
MARH chased down the total in the 16th over losing six wickets in the process. Muhammed Rizwan top-scored with 37 while V. Ramesh contributed 25. Krishna Raja and Sweetly Raj bagged two wickets each.
