Oman Air to operate more flights to Khasab

Muscat: From November 2 onward, Oman Air will operate nine flights per week between Muscat and Khasab, the airline said in a tweet.
“Enjoy the amazing sights and sounds of Musandam with greater convenience,” the tweet added.
Earlier, the Ministry of Transport said that Oman's government is planning to build a new airport in Musandam Governorate. For this, the government will hire a consultant to conduct a feasibility study.
“We will be examining the estimated cost and will also conduct a study on the environmental impact for the new proposed airport,” the ministry said.
The airport would be the sixth airport serving the country, in addition to Muscat, Salalah, Sohar, Duqm and Khasab.
